Patrick Mahomes welcomes third baby with wife Brittany confirming Chiefs star’s NFL playoff status

PATRICK Mahomes has welcomed his third child with his wife Brittany.
The Kansas City Chiefs star already has two kids with his childhood sweetheart.

Brittany announced the news in an Instagram post on Monday.
Their daughter Golden Raye Mahomes was born on Sunday 12 January.
The new baby’s name follows a pattern that the first two Mahomes kids share.
Patrick and Brittany’s first child is named Sterling and their second is named Bronze.
That means their three kids are named after gold, silver, and bronze, like the three medals at the Olympics.
NFL fans shared an outpouring of support for the Mahomes family in the comments of Brittany’s Instagram post.
“Love the name! Congratulations,” one fan said.
“Congratulations for your beautiful blessing,” another fan said.
“Congratulations Mahomes family. Welcome to the world Golden,” a third fan said.
“Congratulations on the new addition to your family,” a fourth fan said.

The new family addition comes in a busy week for the superstar quarterback.
He is preparing to face the Houston Texans at 4:30 pm ET on Saturday.
The Chiefs conveniently did not have to play a game in the Wild Card round though, making it a perfect time for Golden Raye to be born.
Having the No. 1 seed in the AFC allowed the Chiefs to skip straight to the next round.

Brittany has been waiting to give birth for a while, and there were plans to be induced on Monday.
But the baby was born Sunday, she announced on Instagram.
