Pete Wicks is contemplating a “massive life decision” after his stint on Strictly Come Dancing led to noticeable changes in his body. The former TOWIE star revealed that his skin has been “quite bad” since his appearance on the popular BBC show, and a recent photoshoot made him consider taking action.
During his Staying Relevant podcast with mate Sam Thompson, Pete shared that he felt his face was “drooping”. Having celebrated his 36th birthday in November, he pondered whether it was time for a cosmetic procedure.
He said: “I had a photoshoot and the glam squad doing my hair and all that sort of stuff, and I mentioned my skin’s been quite bad recently and I’ve been doing Strictly and all the other stuff and she literally said to me, ‘yeah, there’s a lot of lumps and bumps there, have you thought about Botox?’ And I am thinking about it.
“I have no problem with people doing whatever makes them happy but my face is drooping and I do feel at 36 years old I should maybe start looking at something.”

Sam suggested a subtle reason why Pete might be having skin issues, saying: “Can I tell you why that is? Because you don’t smile enough,” reports Lancs Live.
Pete humorously stated he wanted to steer clear of the procedures Sam has previously tried because they “didn’t go well”. Sam admitted he has experimented with salmon sperm injections which were “fine” but Botox “messed him up”.
He shared his confusion: “Now I have nothing in my face and people are still telling me ‘why have you ruined your face?’ But I don’t understand because I don’t know what I’ve done. It’s worn off.”
Pete, on the other hand, expressed concern that Botox might make him appear too youthful, saying: “I don’t want to look like a f****** kid. But I mean, because I lost a lot of weight on Strictly, the old wattle’s gone – my face has really slimmed.”
He also mentioned his current drinking habits: “I’m still not really drinking by the way. I’m just drinking like a normal person now and I’ve been out a couple of times since the Strictly thing and I’ve had a few drinks but I’ve been going home at a normal time and I’m not drinking alone anymore.”
Sam humorously observed that Pete is going into 2025 with a “new year, new me” attitude.
