Katie Price revealed that she has been to hospital over her worrying weight loss in a health update on Snapchat over the weekend.

The mother-of-five, 47, has said she doesn’t know why she has been losing so much weight after sparking fan concern and has previously denied using weight loss medication.

While at the hospital, Katie said she needed to get some stitches removed after she cut herself with a knife while cooking a curry.

Speaking on her Snapchat Story, Katie claimed that she ‘doesn’t know why’ her frame is shrinking so much as she undergoes tests.

She began: ‘I’ve been up early at the doctors so she could do some bloods and because my veins are so s*** they had three attempts.

‘They could only fill two tubes up, so I’ve got to go back in two weeks.’

Katie added: ‘And I’ve got to have my stitches out then because they looked at my little stab wound that I did.

‘The reason I’m going to the doctors is because I keep losing weight and I don’t know why. So that’s that.’

The update comes just days after Katie sparked concern amongst her fans after revealing she spent the night in A&E after cutting herself.

Revealing the seriousness of the gory injury, she explained that the knife had ripped through her ligaments and nerves, leaving half her hand numb.

Katie shared several graphic photos showing the deep cut in her tattooed left wrist.

She also showed how it looked after it had been stitched back up in the hospital and posted a look at the long blade of the knife she’d been using.

Explaining the accident to her followers, she wrote: ‘Last night I accidentally stabbed myself with a knife, you can see on the injury how deep it was, and I had to have stitches’.

She posted a photo of an A&E sign lit up at night and wrote: ‘Not what I had on my Bingo card for Friday night.’

The ex-glamour model has left fans concerned over her slimmed-down figure for months, and previously addressed her drastic weight loss in May.

But back then, she had seemed pretty pleased about it, saying she had wanted to lose weight.

Speaking to fans on Snapchat, she said: ‘Yes I’ve lost weight. Yes that’s what I’ve wanted to do, I’ve wanted to lose weight.

‘Because… three, four years ago when I broke my feet I was in a wheelchair for ten months because they said I’d never walk again, and obviously you put weight on being in a wheelchair.

‘And then I did all the IVF stuff, that also puts on weight. So yeah, I did put on weight and I hated it, I felt uncomfortable and it wasn’t me.’

Speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast last year, Katie explained that she has never been happy with her body.

She said: ‘I always said I haven’t got body dysmorphia but there’s definitely something, I don’t know what it is…

‘I’ve never looked in the mirror and thought I’m pretty or whatever.’
