Dave Portnoy took a shot at former Barstool Sports employee Alex Cooper on Tuesday night – after news that the ‘Call Her Daddy’ host had dropped Alix Earle from her podcast network.
Cooper rose to fame at Barstool before inking a $60million exclusive deal with Spotify in 2021, and ultimately starting her own Unwell Network in 2023.
And following Earle’s reported ouster from that company, Portnoy got in on the drama by posting an apparent screengrab of a call with Earle.
In the Instagram post, which is set to the song ‘Circle of Life,’ Portnoy can be seen holding a drink in front of a screenshot of an outgoing call to ‘Alixearlenew,’ which lasted 22 minutes.
‘You can stop tagging me. I know what needs to be done,’ he wrote.
Barstool fans will know that the post is identical to what Cooper posted herself last year, when podcaster and comedian Grace O’Malley left Portnoy’s company.

Nonetheless, Portnoy said later on social media that he didn’t actually call Earle, according to Page Six.
‘I just thought it was funny,’ he explained.
News of a possible split between Cooper and Earle was broken by Variety, which said Unwell had released the rights to Earle’ podcast, allowing her to pursue other opportunities.
Earle, the girlfriend of Miami Dolphins receiver Braxton Berrios, joined Cooper’s Unwell Network in August 2023.
While Earle was in New Orleans with Berrios during Super Bowl week, she notably missed the Unwell Super Bowl party.
Earle also hinted at ‘career mistakes’ months ago on her podcast, while Unwell stopped promoting her show, ‘Hot Mess,’ on their platforms.
Earle was among the first talents signed by Cooper as she expanded her media empire beyond her own podcast.
The Unwell Network currently hosts nine shows and sells a beverage at retailers like Target.
Neither Earle nor Cooper have yet to publicly comment.
