This Morning presenter Josie Gibson was left red-faced alongside her co-star Rylan Clark
This Morning: Josie Gibson almost reveals announcement
Josie Gibson has issued an apology for her co-star Rylan Clark live on This Morning, as she was told “you’re fired”. Singer Anastacia appeared on the ITV show to discuss her upcoming tour, but Josie accidentally let slip something that was mentioned during the ad break – that the pair are planning something together.
Josie said: “Have you two – am I allowed to say or not? You just told me something,” before glancing at Rylan. “Oh sorry, was I not allowed to mention what was discussed in the break then?” Anastacia then quipped: “Oh my God, you’re fired!” as Rylan hastily stepped in to explain: “Me and Anastacia we’ve been friends for a long time, I’m seeing you next weekend at Radio 2 in the Park.
“And that’s what you were going to say. That we’re just going to be in the same place at the same time. We’re not saying anything except that we’re going to be in the same place in Highlands Park.”

Josie then added: “I think somebody’s got something spectacular to see if they go there anyway.”
Anastacia hinted: “I think it’s going to be a great day and you never know what will happen.”
It comes after Rylan caused controversy with an anti-immigration statement during Wednesday’s episode (August 27), and confessed today (August 29) was his “last day”.

The pair have been standing in for regular presenters Cat Deeley, Ben Shephard, Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary during the summer holidays, with Rylan commenting: “Last day today!” as Josie chimed in “What a week.”
Rylan sparked controversy over his migrant crossings views, saying on the ITV show: “I find it absolutely insane that all these people are risking their lives coming across the Channel. And when they get here, it does seem, and I think this is why a lot of Labour voters as well are saying there’s something wrong, it feels like, ‘Welcome, come on in’. That’s the narrative we’re being fed.”
He added: “Here’s the iPad. Here’s the NHS in reception of your hotel. Here’s three meals a day. Here’s a games room in the hotel. Have a lovely time and welcome.”
