McFly singer Danny Jones’ wife Georgia Horsley has been left “humiliated” following his kiss with Maura Higgins.
The former model has remained silent amid the scandal involving her husband, but has now made a major decision. She was due to appear in public on Saturday alongside her Mum’s the Word podcast co-host and pal Kelsey Parker at the Baby Show at London’s Excel, but has cancelled her appearance.
Danny was filmed kissing Love Island star Maura as they partied into the early hours over the weekend after the BRIT Awards. The singer and Georgia have remained silent following the scandal as Maura has also opted to keep a low profile. Danny and Georgia wed in 2014 and share seven-year-old son Cooper.
“Sitting down for a Q&A in front of a live audience is not what Georgia needs right now,” a source told the Daily Mail. “She is mortified at how this has all played out and can’t help but feel humiliated.” Fans have shared their shock at the video, with Danny being slammed for his actions as a married man. Danny and Maura met each other on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! last year, which he went on to win.

Georgia had flown out to support her famous husband when he was in the jungle and they shared an emotional reunion with their son Cooper, seven. The mum-of-one even moved the family into their new home last year while Danny was tied up with work. She ultimately needed to take time for herself in January as she booked herself into a solo countryside retreat to have a detox from the stresses of life. Georgia revealed how she felt burnt out after solo parenting for a month while Danny was in the jungle last year.
On Monday, Georgia spoke for the first time since the shock kiss on her podcast Mum’s The Word with Kelsey Parker. The two friends reflected on the importance of living in the moment and making the most of time spent with their children. Georgia kept the discussion focused entirely on her and Danny’s son, Cooper, without referencing her husband at any point. She spoke about motherhood, their recent move, and even recounted their trip to Australia to visit Danny during his time in the I’m A Celebrity jungle without explicitly mentioning his name.
“I was going into this New Year burnt out,” she shared on social media. “Everything I didn’t want to feel entering 2025… I felt. Over a month of solo parenting, moving house on my own, working hard on my career whilst Danny was in the jungle with snakes in his pants was A LOT!
“So whilst I was still in Australia I decided I needed to do something for me… a solo trip, one to push me out of my comfort zone but also one to give me the break I craved. So… I booked a little cabin in the middle of nowhere, somewhere near Shropshire, and found a little nugget of calm in my overwhelmed brain. I chopped fire wood, built fires, sat in silence, read books, slept, took in the views, watched the sheep in the nearby field… and it was perfect.”
