Alison Hammond’s son Aidan has cheekily revealed that he used to flee the house after having disputes with his famous mother.
The This Morning presenter, 50, and her 20-year-old offspring are set to feature together on the new series of Celebrity Gogglebox, which begins on Friday night.
Aidan, born in 2005, is the son of Alison and her ex-fiancé Noureddine Boufaied, from whom she split back in 2014, though they continue to co-parent.
And ahead of his and his mother’s Gogglebox debut, Aidan gave a rare insight into their relationship and detailed some times when the pair didn’t see eye to eye.
He told the Spin Justice podcast: ‘When we were in the flat, she (his grandmother) had a house pretty much opposite us, so we could literally leave and run across the road.
‘So when my mum was doing my head in, I’d just go to my nan’s.’

His beloved grandmother and Alison’s mother Maria sadly di3d of lung and liver cancer in January 2020.
Aidan lovingly recalled the special bond they had, saying he and Maria were ‘very, very close’.
‘She’s passed away now, but we were very close all the time – me, my mum and my nan – and that was kind of the little trio,’ he added.
While Aidan and Alison are set to be regulars on the new series of Gogglebox, they will be joined for the series opener by the actress’s rarely-seen sister, Sandra.
Photos released of the upcoming episode show the trio sat together, with Alison and Saundra holding matching mugs.
The TV star expressed how thrilled she was to be joined by her son and sister, describing Saundra as ‘fabulous’.
She said: ‘I’m so excited to be doing Celebrity Gogglebox with my son Aidan.

It was previously reported producers were left impressed with the mother and son duo after they recently fronted a BBC Two holiday show, Florida Unpacked.
The trio will be among the new star pairings who will appear on Gogglebox to raise money for Stand Up For Cancer.
A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Producers were impressed by the dynamic between Aidan and his mum on their new travel show, so wanted a piece of it for Celebrity Gogglebox.
‘They’re always looking for new duos to appear on the programme to keep it constantly feeling fresh, and, of course, fronting the Great British Bake Off means she’s already part of the C4 family.’
