LORRAINE Kelly revealed to her fans that she was in hospital for a “wee prodcedure.”

The ITV morning host of her eponymous show took to Instagram to update her followers, as her colleagues inundated her with messages of support.

Lorraine, 65, posted the video from her hospital bed and wearing a hospital gown.

“Just wanted to let you know I’m having a wee procedure today. I’ve not been feeling all that well for a little while, so I had some scans and tests, and I have to have my ovaries and my tubes taken out,” she explained.

Lorraine added some reassuring words for her fans: “‘It’s purely preventative. It’s going to be with keyhole surgery, which is incredible, I’m being very well looked after, and I’ll obviously see you really soon, and I’m gonna be totally fine.”

Her ITV co-stars rushed to send their well-wishes in the comments section of the post.

“Thinking of you and sending love. Let me know if you fancy a visit. Love V xx,” wrote Vanessa Feltz.

Dr Amir Khan wrote: “Wishing you a speedy recovery – you are the best!”

Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins commented: “Sending love”.

TV presenter Julia Bradbury added: “Wishing you a speedy recovery Lorraine, and good luck with the post op rehab.”

Lorraine’s surgery comes weeks after she denied having filler when viewers suggested she’d done so because she appeared on TV with a puffy face and black eye.

Lorraine explained to Loose Women viewers in early Marchthat her painful appearance is the result of an injury, exclaiming: “Someone asked if I’d had fillers. No!

Lorraine told viewers that she had tripped over and face-planted “a massive rhino” in an unfortunate accident at home.

She said: “Yesterday, like women, you try to do too many things at one time and we try to do it really fast.

“I had a massive bag of washing, like a huge big washing basket, and couldn’t see.

“I was going from the kitchen to the living room and there’s a wee step and my slippers are too big also.

“And I fell over and I fell onto a rhino. As you do.

“It’s a big, giant wooden rhino and I battered my face on it.”

Lorraine went on, saying: “I thought I’d be fine, but I woke up this morning with the biggest shiner, like this big black eye.

“I thought, I won’t say anything and Helen, our fantastic make-up artist, has actually done a brilliant job.”
