Amy Dowden declares she ‘hates cancer’
Taking to Instagram, Amy announced that her friend and treatment partner, Hannah, has sadly passed away from breast cancer.
The pair met in the hospital during their treatment journeys, and Amy said she has “been hit hard” by the news.
She penned a beautiful tribute to her friend. Amy wrote: “Life is cruel and I truly hate cancer! A beautiful soul, Hannah I met during treatment.”
Amy explained their “appointments always aligned” so they got to sit together and “have a good natter” about the world.
The news has hit me quite hard.
She then continued: “I spoke about Hannah on Loose Women. She immediately messaged me to say thank you and she loved it.”

‘Gutted and angry’
One of the main things Hannah and Amy spoke about was what their lives would look like after cancer. The Strictly star was “six months ahead” of Hannah and so she always found herself answering her questions of what was to come.
Amy described her friend as “the most genuine mother and soul”. But what hit her even more, was that Hannah’s twin daughters had “already lost their dad to the horrible disease”.
She ended her tribute by writing: “The news has hit me quite hard. I’m gutted and angry. RIP beautiful Hannah. What a woman!”
On the next slide, Amy then shared a photo of Hannah, along with a link for donations for her family.
