It doesn’t appear that Jayden Daniels’ mother is ready to let the quarterback out of her sight just yet.

Daniels, the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, had one of the best debut seasons in league history, leading the Washington Commanders to their first NFC Championship Game since 1991, also making the Pro Bowl as a first-year player.

He is thought to have a bright future, and his relationship with his mother, Regina Jackson, is a big part of his makeup. While their bond is to be admired, it has also come under some negative scrutiny over the last few months, as Jackson has been criticized for not allowing her son to fly the coop.

She has also made no secret of wanting to keep disingenuous women out of his life.

“Some girl’s got a Jayden Daniels wall, and her mom says, ‘You’ll get him.’ Someone’s trying to hook him, but thank god he’s got a mama like me—because it ain’t happening,” she said during his rookie season.

Regina’s been true to her word, having stuck by his side at social events, and even at a wedding, while she has also played the role of agent during the early part of his career.

A photo of Regina hawking down the QB on a Miami street has been circulating online this Tuesday. It shows Jayden holding his phone while speaking to a woman, likely getting those digits, while his mom watches intently from the back seat of a car.

Of course, the snap sparked some outrage online.

“It’s time for everyone to admit this is weird, creepy, and completely unhealthy,” a user said.

“Jayden if u ever tryna get some u can tell moms ur just chillin at my place. I got you family🤞,” another offered.

“You go scare off that man blessing,” someone warned.

Regina is clearly bent on protecting her son, and no one should fault that, but is she taking it too far?

The long-time football buddies showed off some serious dance moves at Aiyuks’ special night. However, while the whole lot enjoyed the wedding night, Daniels’ mother, Regina Jackson, caught the fans’ attention.

Recently, a video of Jayden at Aiyuk’s wedding went viral, and social media fans couldn’t help but share their thoughts on Regina’s presence. Many expressed concerns that she might be a bit too involved in his life, with some even labeling her as “weird.”

Though it was not common for a 25-year-old quarterback to be so under the guidance of his mother, internet users are buzzing over it.

In the viral video, Jayden Daniels was dancing it off with his football friends while his mother also joined the boys. Despite the moment being lively and the whole group was dancing, social media fans didn’t approve Jackson’s presence at the dance floor.

“Sh**s getting weird at this point,” a fan commented.

“He needs to find a girl, this is getting weird,” another one wrote.

“She is protecting him from golddiggers and I’m here for it,” a third one added.

“Because he doesn’t like girls. Moms can’t keep dudes from girls,” a fourth one commented.

However, Regina’s comments about not wanting Jayden to date and her decision to become an NFL-certified agent to guide his career caught many eyeballs. She insists that her goal is to help him stay focused on the game and protect him from those with less-than-noble intentions.
