Reality TV star Katie Price has been honest about her true feelings about ex-husband Peter Andre and his wife, Emily, over the years. It was only recently that the former glamour model, who shares two children with the Mysterious Girl singer, admitted she thinks NHS doctor Emily MacDonagh is a ‘proper lady’.

However, during the same podcast with Katherine Ryan, the Mucky Mansion star reminisced about her marriage to Peter and revealed her and Peter’s kids – particularly daughter Princess – can’t comprehend that they were once a couple because she and Emily are “just so different”. She added: “I said to her, ‘I was with your dad for six years – trust me, we had a laugh, banter together. We did.

“She can’t believe that whenever he went everywhere or me, we were together with the kids – we’d go as a family. She’s like, ‘Emily doesn’t do all that,’ for Pete.”

She also said of the her ex-husband and his new wife: “I’m glad he’s with Emily. She seems like a proper lady. I think it’d be weird if he went for someone like me.”

Katie’s relationship with Emily has been tumultuous over the years but things seemed to be going off to a good start when Emily and Peter were expecting their first child in 2013. “Genuine congratulations to Pete and Emily and I hope they are very happy – kids excited xxx,” Katie tweeted at the time.

During the pandemic, Katie responded to Peter’s post thanking those working the frontline during the global health crisis. He said: “We thank our nhs staff, teachers, carers, anyone in any position that is helping with the current crisis. Thank you @nhswebsite @piersmorgan @lorrainekellysmith @itv @gmb (sic)”

Katie commented underneath the photo of himself on GMB: “Stay safe all of you.” The Mucky Mansion star also thanked Emily, who is a doctor. She said at the time: “I feel so blessed, I am grateful to both Peter, Kieran and to Emily for being out there on the front line, it’s times like these that you see the bigger picture and learn from that.”

A few months later, Katie admitted she and Emily were completely different people as she discussed her past relationship with Peter. She explained: “It’s taken bloody time! Jesus. I do like Emily as well. We’re like chalk and cheese, we’re completely and utterly different!

“So when I go to Pete’s, I think he thinks I’m lively. I’m like, “You were with me for six years, Pete! You know what I’m like. You were actually the same. You’re nuts as well. But I say to him, ‘You’re getting old now!’ It’s funny. We have a laugh.”

Things went downhill in 2022 when Katie accused Emily of not letting Princess visit her at The Priory. In a quickly deleted post, Katie ranted: “My mouth has been shut for so long but I’ve had enough of people selling stories on me and particularly this so called woman @dr_emily_official.

“Always said I don’t want to be famous yet doesn’t do too bad to stay away from media and TV and now trying to make a career out of it. So cringe she has used my children to make money in photo shoots yet covers her own children’s faces up! (sic)

“She claims to be a doctor who clearly doesn’t have a clue about mental health. Oh and stopped my daughter from visiting me at The Priory when she wanted to see her mum. She is so jealous of my relationship I have with Princess and puts me down.

“Emily you are not and never will be my kids’ parent so mind your own business, your [sic] so two faced and definitely not the person you portray to the public. (sic) I think you’re a disgusting person so stop trying to interfere in my life.”

While Emily didn’t respond to the comments, Katie further lashed out again when asked about the reports. A spokesperson for the star told the Mirror at the time: “This is all very boring and Kate is looking forwards to her own wedding with Carl Woods this year.”

They added: “There is stuff behind the scenes that goes on and have to agree Emily isn’t innocent.”
