Loose Women viewers accused the show of being ‘very-anti men’ on Wednesday after the panel debated whether it’s ‘time to close women’s prisons’.
Fans were left open-mouthed by the choice of topic and gasped that they ‘can’t believe they’re hearing this rubbish’.
Panelists Christine Lampard, Mariella Frostrup, Janet Street-Porter, and Sunetra Sarker each shared their views on the controversial debate.
Explaining her opinion on the argument, Janet said: ‘I know that I can be accused of having a double standard, if a woman commits the same crime as a man, why am I arguing that women shouldn’t be in prison at all?
‘But I think we need to look at the kind of women who are in prison and they come from the most disadvantaged section of society.
‘Over half of them have suffered domestic abuse. Two thirds of them are in prison for non-violent crime.’

The debate came after Princess Kate visited a women’s prison where she met inmates in the mother and baby unit.
And last year, Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood argued women shouldn’t be sent to prison at all and instead be given non-custodial sentences.

It comes just after Ruth Langsford made a grisly confession on Loose Women which left both her co-stars and viewers at home equally shocked.
Tuesday’s episode of the popular ITV daytime show saw the star present alongside fellow panellists Denise Welch, Janet Street-Porter, and Judi Love.
Ruth joined in with a discussion on the show about etiquette around picking up dog faeces.
Towards the end, the conversation took a turn and Ruth made the shocking revelation that she had relieved herself in ‘a bit of a clearing with some bushes’ while out running.
She explained how she was on a run and felt a ‘cramping’ sensation.
