The crowd at Love Island: Aftersun jeered as Remell and Poppy clashed during a seriously awkward reunion.

Sunday’s instalment of the live ITV show, broadcast after the main programme, saw the pair reunite after Remell was voted out of the villa by the public with Megan.

A previous episode saw bombshell Poppy and Remell meet during a sleepover away from the main villa.

Islanders Emily, Helena and Dejon also joined, as well as other bombshells Giorgio, Will and Caprice.

After a series of racy games and even sharing a bed together, Remell, who was coupled up with Alima in the main villae, looked as though he may have had his head turned and even shared a kiss with Poppy.

However, in the end he decided to stay with Alima, leaving both Poppy and Helena stunned.

Poppy reflected on the situation during Aftersun, which is hosted by Maya Jama, and admitted ‘I felt really betrayed’.

She said: ‘Do you know what? I felt really betrayed when you didn’t pick me because obviously I had all these hopes especially with the truth or dare game. I was like ‘Oh, he actually really likes me’. So I was a bit gutted.’

Remell responded: ‘But I did tell you at the end it was shuffling. I didn’t tell you that that was my decision.’

‘Five minutes before,’ Poppy exclaimed.

‘Nah, literally in that game I told you at the end it was shuffling, that decision,’ Remell insisted.

But Poppy disagreed and said, ‘No you didn’t’.

‘During the truth or dare I did, I’m not going to make a lie, I did,’ Remell replied.

The audience watching live in the studio erupted into a jeer while he continued: ‘That’s what I did, I stand on what I say.’

However, in the end he decided to stay with Alima, leaving both Poppy and Helena stunned

But Poppy still didn’t agree and said: ‘Nah, I don’t think you did.’

‘I’m pretty sure I did, run it back,’ Remell went on.

‘Yeah, run it back,’ Poppy laughed.

When quizzed by Dejon during the sleepover who he would chose between partner Alima and Poppy, he had previously admitted it would be Poppy.

He confessed to his pal: ‘I’m loving the chats with Poppy, flirty, chill…I don’t want to leave with regrets which is why I’m giving Poppy the time of day.’
