Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Peters is reportedly set to retire.
According to Seattle Seahawks beat reporter Greg Bell, the offensive lineman is set to hang up the cleats and will join the team’s front office, also noting that Peters will function as an assistant to VP of Player Affairs Mo Kelly.
“GM John Schneider says off podium here at NFL combine Jason Peters is retiring as a long-time offensive lineman to be assistant to Mo Kelly, the #Seahawks’ vice president of player affairs,” Bell reported on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old will be remembered as one of the best to ever play in his position after coming into the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2004. After signing with the Buffalo Bills on the back of a career at Arkansas, he spent five years with the AFC team before a trade to Philadelphia.
Peters signed a four-year extension worth $53 million with the Eagles after the trade and remained with the team until 2020, helping them win a Super Bowl in 2018.

The nine-time Pro Bowler joined the Chicago Bears in 2021 before making a stop in Dallas with the Cowboys.
He has been with the Seahawks since 2023, joining their practice squad and then being moved between that unit and the main roster. He made eight appearances for the team that season, two of them being starts.
Seattle re-signed him to the practice squad last October.
In addition to his Super Bowl win and nine Pro Bowl call-ups, Jason Peters is a two-time First-Team All-Pro and a four-time Second-Team All-Pro. He’s also part of the NFL’s 2010 All-Decade Team.
