Ruth Langsford has given fans an insight into how she is spending her first Easter as a single woman. 

The This Morning host, 65, took to Instagram Stories on Saturday to reveal that she had been enjoying some fish and chips at The Oatlands Chaser pub in Weybridge.

She wrote: ‘Should probably have been yesterday but finally got some fish for Easter!’

This was later followed up by a mirror selfie of the presenter showing off her fashionable outfit for the holiday weekend.

Ruth had chosen to wear a denim top and jeans with a knitted gilet.

She accessorized the outfit with oversized sunglasses, completing the look with a pair of silver loafers and a brown handbag.

But despite looking her best, a year on from her split with Eamonn Holmes, Ruth is reported to still be wearing her wedding ring.

According to a source, she does not want to consider moving on from her ex-husband until their divorce is finalised.

A source told The Mirror: ‘She’s still wearing her wedding ring because she’s coming to terms with a long relationship ending.

‘[She’s] realising Eamonn maybe wasn’t the person she thought he was.

‘And she’s also coming to terms with life being very, very different for her going forward.

‘Ruth has been having fun going out with her girlfriends, and enjoying a little flirt, but that’s it.

‘She really needs the Eamonn chapter to be fully closed before she can move on romantically, she needs her freedom.’

The couple announced their shock split last May after 28 years together and 14 years of marriage.

According to reports, the pair parted ways after Ruth discovered Eamonn had been speaking to another woman, however, the intimate details of their text conversations were never disclosed.

Mere months after the breakdown of their marriage, Eamonn had moved on with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42, a relationship counsellor.

The pair were pictured going on a luxury cruise together in September and are said to have similar getaways planned.

Ruth and Eamonn share a son, Jack, who was born in 2002.

While Ruth admitted that she was not happy when her marriage came to an end, she said she is trying to ’embrace’ this new chapter of her life.
