Wynne Evans has submitted a dossier of evidence to the BBC which friends of the Strictly Come Dancing star believe clears him of lewd behaviour allegations.
The Mail On Sunday exposed the 53-year-old making a vile s3xual comment about Strictly host Janette Manrara in January during a photocall for the then forthcoming Strictly Live Tour.
But it has now been reported that Wynne has submitted evidence which his friends insist prove he is not guilty of making the inappropriate comment – despite the star already apologising for the remark.
‘These past few months have been absolutely torrid for Wynne. He has had his name dragged through the mud,’ a friends has told The Sun. ‘He feels he’s been thrown under a bus and left to fend for himself.’
The paper claim that Wynne’s dossier alleges there ‘a very different context’ to the remark made to Janette.
Wynne’s lawyers have also submitted claims that the BBC stopped Wynne and his Strictly dance partner Katya Jones from releasing a video explaining their ‘gr0pegat3’ scandal during the series.

The Mail On Sunday exposed the 53-year-old making a vile s3xual comment about Strictly host Janette Manrara in January during a photocall for the then forthcoming Strictly Live Tour
Wynne was recorded crudely suggesting a three-way s3x session with Janette, using the hugely demeaning term ‘spit roast’.
Janette did not make a complaint against the singer, yet he apologised for the vile remark after the Mail On Sunday video evidence emerged.
Wynne is now reportedly claiming the spitroast comment was taken out of context with the insider telling The Sun: ‘Wynne’s team have had the clip sent off to a cyber forensics team which has come back with a word nobody had previously picked up on before; they believe it changes everything.
‘In it, he can be heard saying “old spitroast boy” to Jamie Borthwick. It may seem like semantics, but the “old” and the “boy” proves he was addressing Jamie and not making a crude s3xual remark about Janette, as originally thought.
‘This is apparently a reference to Jamie putting his legs above his head, and looking like a spitroast chicken.’
Wynne has also reportedly been sent supportive messages from Strictly dancers including Janette and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec.
The dossier is also said to include evidence that the BBC stopped Wynne and his Strictly dance partner Katya Jones from releasing a video explaining another scandal during the series.
Wynne came under pressure during his time on the live TV show when viewers saw him putting his hands around Katya’s waist before she batted them away.

The pair are said to have filmed a video straight away explaining the reportedly pre-planned joke, and apologising but sources claim BBC bosses would not let Wynne post it.
Lawyers have reportedly compiled a 30-page dossier to take to showdown talks as he fights to keep his beloved radio job.
Wynne has allegedly told friends he is expecting a final decision about the future of his BBC Radio Wales gig at the end of the month after stepped down from the show two months ago.
When asked by the MoS if he would be coming back, the BBC simply referred to his January statement apologising for his ‘inappropriate and unacceptable’ language.
The star of the Go Compare adverts reportedly believes his reputation has been unfairly left ‘in tatters’ after he apologised for the vile remark aimed at tour host Janette.

In the MoS film, Wynne stands in the middle of a line-up of 20 celebrities and dancers as Janette, who hosts the TV spin-off Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, is summoned to join them. As she approaches, Wynne warns her with a grin: ‘Not too close to Jamie [Borthwick]!’
He then pulls a suggestive face at the actor, behind Janette’s back, as she moves between them. It is at this point that Wynne makes his joke.
Seconds later, Janette’s dancer husband Aljaz Skorjanec, who was standing nearby, asks her: ‘Darling, are you OK?’ She replies curtly: ‘Yep.’
Janette’s spokesperson said the host had been ‘unaware of this comment by Wynne’ which was audible to the reporter filming with a mobile phone 20 yards away.
