Traitors winner Jake Brown has broken his silence after reports he was confronted by his wife after growing close to a female work colleague.
Jake, who was a Faithful on the hit BBC show, is said to have grown close to his work friend for months before wife Shannon found out and confronted him. A source said of the couple, of Barrow, Cumbria : “They were going through a rocky patch. He was so apologetic.”
Jake is said to have met the woman two months after his wedding – allegedly resulting in a ‘showdown’ with wife Shannon confronting Jake, his work pal and her boyfriend.
Following the allegations, Jake, 27, has returned to Instagram to quieten rumours about his marriage. The star posted a cosy picture of him and Shannon on a night out. The snap was originally posted by Jake’s Traitors co-star Leon Jackman, who supportively wrote ‘I love these two’ amid the allegations.
Jake and Shannon have been together since 2015 and married on September 15, 2023. Shannon shared photographs from the wedding on Instagram at the time with the caption: “Best day of our lives.”

Two months after the wedding, Jake is said to have grown close to a work friend at an office party. Jake and his 24-year-old female colleague are said to have grown close over five months as they both battled problems at home.
However, when Shannon found out she ordered her new husband to end the friendship.
A source told The Sun: “She wasn’t happy, and confronted Jake. She told him it had to stop.”
The insider explained: “Jake had become close to this woman and they were hanging out. They confided in each other. They’d meet up and lean on each other for comfort and support. But the longer it went on, Shannon grew suspicious of the friendship.”
The source said Shannon messaged Jake’s pal and got in touch with her boyfriend: “Shannon met the guy for coffee to let him know her concerns. He was shocked but his and the woman’s relationship had ended by the time Shannon met him, so he was glad to see the back of her.”

Jake has shot to fame after starring in the hit BBC show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, where he was a ‘Faithful’ from the beginning. Jake became a favourite among viewers and was known as the ‘Traitors catcher’ among his co-stars for rumbling some of the series’ liars. Jake, who was born with cerebral palsy, wound up in the final two alongside Leanne Quigley where he declared: “I am and I have always been, a Faithful.”
Jake and Leanne split the £96,000. A delighted Jake later admitted in a post-show interview. “I’m glad I was a Faithful, I’m glad the outcome was the outcome, because I’m now £47,000 richer!”
Jake and his fellow co-stars have since been enjoying their new found fame and was seen attending the Bridget Jones premiere earlier this week. The reality star invited his wife Shannon as his plus-one with the pair being seen cuddling up on the red carpet.
A spokesperson for Jake said: “Jake’s marriage is the most important thing to him. He and Shannon have been together ten years and are very happy.”
