Zara McDermott called on her dad to help her after running into car troubles.

The reality TV star, who recently split up with partner of five years Sam Thompson, sent a sarcastic SOS call to her dad after being hit with a warning sign. Zara, 28, took to her Instagram Stories to share her issue and wrote: “@dad SOS pls help me. Kind regards your 28 year old teenage daughter x”

She uploaded an image from behind the steering wheel of her vehicle. On the dashboard was a warning note telling her she needed to top up her washer fluid.

She followed it up with a snap of her cat sitting on a wall. With the feline wearing a pink harness on a lead as it starred at passers by, Zara joked: “Neighbourhood watch.”

It comes after she gave an update on the two cats that she used to share with Made In Chelsea man Sam. She appeared to confirm she was now in custody of their beloved pets called Albus and Cedric. Zara shared a clip of one of her designer cats, Albus, going for a walk. The post seemingly suggested she has taken the cats with her after moving out of the home she shared with Sam

The ownership of the cats could be one part of the failed relationship that needed sorting. An insider had earlier claimed there were lots of underlying issues in their relationship before the duo decided to call it quits after Christmas. One source told The Sun: “Zara never felt like she was the priority with Sam. He always seemed to find someone or something to put before her.” Another claimed that while Zara loved Sam, there were still issues in their relationship.

“They are both selfish in their own right and want to be successful in business as individuals – but of course that comes at a price,” the insider claimed. They continued: “Sam is very childish – it’s even become a part of his ‘showbiz persona’ – but Zara feels as though she’s getting older and wants to start being taken more seriously.”

Along with the former pair’s differing personalities, the source alluded at the apparent different life goals Sam and Zara had. They claimed Zara was looking to move onto the next step while Sam was content as things were. They claimed Zara was looking forward to starting a family soon. However, they alleged Sam felt they were still a bit young for kids and thought their focus should remain on work for now.
