At the 67th Grammy Awards – 2025 held earlier this week in Los Angeles (USA), Beyoncé became the first woman of color to win the award for Best Country Album, deserving the title of the greatest pop star of the 21st century as voted by Billboard.

The Grammys are the most prestigious awards in the music industry, first presented in 1959. This year, at the annual awards ceremony, “Queen of Music” Beyoncé became the first woman of color to win the Grammy for Best Country Album with Cowboy Carter. Speaking immediately after being named, Beyoncé said: “I just want to encourage people to strive to do what they are passionate about.”
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album includes 27 songs, about 80 minutes in length, started in 2019 and took 5 years to complete. According to music experts, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter breaks many racial boundaries, reviving the cowboy style. Along with that, the photo series for the album pays tribute to America’s old-time beauty style and honors black culture.
Beyoncé, along with Kendrick Lamar, dominated the Grammy Awards this year as she entered the night with the most nominations (11) and took home three awards: Album of the Year, Best Country Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance.
Beyoncé continues to hold the record for the artist with the most Grammys with a total of 34 awards in her career to date, worthy of the title “Queen of the Grammys”.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) recognized Beyoncé as the female artist with the most awards of all time. For example, Cowboy Carter received 103 certifications including platinum certification, 2008 album I Am Sasha Fierce and 2 hits Single Ladies and Halo were certified diamond.
In 2024, at the age of 43 and with a 26-year career, Beyoncé has released 7 albums, sold more than 200 million records worldwide as a solo artist, and is the best-selling artist of all time. Beyoncé is honored to be at the top of Billboard’s list of the 25 greatest pop stars of the 21st century.
Beyoncé founded BeyGood in 2013 during her Mrs. Love world tour. Since then, this charitable initiative has donated to educational efforts, disaster relief, food security, water and housing, mental health resources, and career development in the US and many countries around the world.
“I am extremely proud of the work we have done over the past decade with BeyGood, from scholarships for students, helping to solve the water crisis in Burundi to helping families in my hometown during Hurricane Harvey,” Beyoncé shared.
Most recently, Beyoncé donated $2.5 million to the Los Angeles Fire Relief Fund to address the urgent needs of those affected by the devastating wildfires earlier this year.
The Associated Press reported that singer Beyoncé’s music career and influence on popular culture will be a teaching topic at Yale University in the US in 2025. Forbes magazine has twice honored Beyoncé as the most powerful woman in the world of entertainment in 2015 and 2017.
