It comes amid rumors that the league’s top stars could quit having joined the breakaway Unrivaled start-up.
Clark’s rivalry with Reese is one of the most talked about in US sports and helped the WNBA’s rise in popularity.
It dates back to their college days with Iowa and LSU respectively.
And the pair were both drafted last year into the WNBA and continued their feud.

Major Clark announcement after WNBA debut season following quit rumors
Clark spoke to TIME magazine about the rivalry with Reese.
“We’re not best friends, by any means,” she admitted.
“But we’re very respectful of one another.
“Yes, we have had tremendous battles.

“But when have I ever guarded her? And when has she guarded me?”
The rivalry seemed to stem from an incident during the NCAA championship which Reese and LSU won.

She pointed at her ring finger in front of Clark as time expired.
“I didn’t think it was taunting,” Clark insisted.
“It really didn’t bother me.
“It’s just like, ‘Why don’t you talk about them winning? Or the incredible run that we went on that nobody would have thought we would have ever gone on?’
“The only thing people cared about was this controversy that was really fabricated and made up, and then that has continued to be the case ever since.”

The duo were teammates during the WNBA All-Star Game this year.
In October, rumors of Clark quitting the WNBA occurred after she was linked with the new Unrivaled 3×3 tournament beginning in 2025.
But she will not join the Unrivaled league after all.
And it appeared that Clark has given the hint that she plans to stay in the WNBA for next season.

She wrote in October, “I feel very thankful. I wouldn’t change anything for the world.
“I feel very thankful for the relationships I’ve built, the opportunities that I’ve had, the way people have supported me, and whether it was at Iowa or whether it’s now in the WNBA.”
