BREAKING NEWS: Josh Widdicombe issues simple six-word reply after Strictly debut backlash

Strictly Come Dancing presenter Josh Widdicombe is unphased by criticism of his debut on the show and brushed it off during his Parenting Hell podcast alongside co-host Rob Beckett who shared: “I thought it was amazing!” Delighted Josh chimed back: “Thank you for being so kind.” He added: “Thank you everyone for being so kind, genuinely.”
Rob had also shared a supportive Instagram post for his friend and Josh observed: “You put up a lovely Instagram. Someone put like, ‘Did anyone find that everyone was just too happy on it?’ It’s Strictly!” Rob shot back: “They said ‘It felt it was a bit too OTT and everyone was too happy like they were being paid to dance’. I’m like, ‘That’s exactly what’s happened’. I thought it was brilliant Josh, you should be really proud.” Alongside Emma Willis and Johannes Radebe, Josh has taken the helm of the long running BBC Saturday night show.
Despite his relaxed deameanour about it on the podcast it was claimed Josh was panicking on the night.
Body language expert Inbaal Honigman, speaking on behalf of Covers.com, told Express.co.uk: “Emma is carrying the presenter duties almost single-handedly, and they all know it.
“As Josh gets used to the new job, he is panicking internally. When the three stand together, Josh leans towards Emma, showing that he is depending on her. Josh tries to tuck himself slightly behind the others, as if trying to avoid getting noticed or picked first at school.
“Josh’s eyes are concentrating hard on the space in front of him when he speaks, glancing intently into the prompter as if his life depends on it.

“He is doing his best to stick to the script, and even in his smile, his mounting panic shows,” she continued.
“He smiles with his mouth, cheeks rounded, but Josh’s smile doesn’t quite reach his eyes. This smile shows that for Josh, this is serious business. He’s not having fun yet.”
Josh himself had admitted to considerable anxiety ahead of the launch show. During an appearance on The One Show he said: “It’s nerve-wracking because it feels like we’ve been waiting for so long to do this. I’ve been living in a ball of fear.”
The three new presenters were enlisted following the departure of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman at the end of the last series.
