Prince Harry is set to return to the US this month just weeks after relocating back to Britain at the end of August. The Duke of Sussex, who moved back to Britain recently with Meghan Markle and their two children, is set to fly back to America to attend Bill and Hillary Clinton’s Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting.

This is being held in New York City on September 22 and 23. It is unlikely his wife Meghan, and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will join him. The prince will instead be joined at the event by a number of famous faces including Chrissy Teigen, Bill Nye and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman.

He has attended the event before, including in 2024 when he gave a speech about the harmful effects social media can have on young people.

It is not known if he is set to talk at the event this year, which is said to be focused on issues including artificial intelligence, climate and energy resilience, democracy, humanitarian response, economic opportunity and health.

People magazine reports that the Clinton Global Initiative was first founded by Bill Clinton in 2005, and aims to raise awareness of problems around the world.

Harry’s return to the US for this event will come less than a month after he relocated back to Britain with his family, having previously lived in Montecito, California, since 2020.

The motive behind the duke’s move back to Britain is still not confirmed, however the UK return seems to have brought a bucketload of drama with it.

This has especially been the case after a letter was released on behalf of King Charles this week, which reiterated how the duke and duchess are not working royals and are instead private citizens.

Harry’s team said they were surprised by the letter and the limited notice they received of it. Reports also suggest that Harry disagreed with his father calling him a private citizen, with the pair reportedly wanting to be known as public figures instead.

The drama caused by this letter has resulted in other problems for the duke, including Uganda pulling out of the 2027 Invictus Games.

The Duke of Sussex is expected to attend the 2026 Wellchild Awards in London a day or two before he flies back to the US for his New York City engagement.
