BREAKING NEWS: Prince William’s major ‘headache’ at Prince Harry and Meghan’s sudden return
Prince William had no idea that Harry and Meghan were making their way back to the U.K. and now that he does, he’s not happy, a royal expert claimed.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle know how to make an exit — first Megxit and now this — but their move back to the U.K. did not happen overnight with one royal expert saying, “They must have been planning this for a while.” While King Charles knew about the move, Prince William was left in the dark, finding out about it at the same time as the rest of the world.
Pauline Maclaran, co-author of Royal Fever and Professor at Royal Holloway, University of London, revealed her initial shock to the announcement after being abroad for six years, but according to the royal expert, Harry had been dropping hints for a while now.
“They obviously must have been planning this for a while. There have been a lot of rumors for some time that Harry was missing England,” said Maclaran. “I imagine this move is motivated by him and his desire to keep his children in touch with their heritage.”
In regard to Harry, he’s from the U.K., and it’s understandable that he was missing home, but his wife is originally from Los Angeles, California. It’s extremely surprising that Meghan agreed to this, considering how hard it was for her the first time around living in the U.K., but according to Maclaran, this could be a good thing for her career.
“In fact, this could be good for Meghan’s brand as she can develop new products with more of an English flavour to give her more uniqueness in the U.S. market and appeal to the many Anglophiles there!”

Of course, it’s not just Harry and Meghan, they have two small children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, who play a big role in the decision. The children are a part of the Royal Family, but if the Sussexes were to stay in the U.S., within two generations, Harry’s descendants would essentially be private U.S. citizens with a famous last name.
By moving back to the U.K., they are preserving their legacy.
It appears, reuniting their children with their extended family played a role in the decision, in which Maclaran confirmed.
“It is likely that Harry in particular felt his children were missing out in terms of royal life and if they waited longer it would be harder for them to fit in,” she said. “If they are going to school in England at this early age, they will be socialized much more into an English culture and ways of doing things.”

William reportedly had no idea the Sussexes planned to return to the U.K. and learned about the big news at the same time as the rest of the world, which most likely left him livid.
“I would doubt that William will be happy with their decision to return and it is likely to give him quite a headache in how he is going to handle their return,” she said.
“He has to balance his own personal concerns with the Sussexes alongside his responsibilities for the future preservation of the British monarchy and this will not be an easy task.”
We were just speaking to Maclaran about a secret summit between Charles and William on Tuesday morning, right before the news broke, and now it’s needed more than ever.
“I think there will have to be some kind of resolution to their conflict, at least so that they can exist alongside each other at royal events.”
“This will be why we were discussing a potential meeting between William and the King — that seems very important and pressing now!”
