BREAKING NEWS: Zara Tindall wows as she steps out with royals abroad

Zara Tindall stepped out abroad last night to attend the opening ceremony of the 2026 FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany. The Princess Royal’s daughter, who is not a working royal herself, was all smiles as she was seen in a carriage at the opening ceremony of the global equestrian event at Allianz Park.
Zara, who wore all black for the event, then took to the stands to watch the rest of the opening ceremony, which marks the start of the FEI World Championships. The championships are a global equestrian event where world titles are contested in dressage, eventing, driving, para-dressage, show jumping, and vaulting. The King’s niece was not the only royal present on Tuesday, with Queen Mary of Denmark also stepping out at the opening ceremony.
Other royals to attend included Infanta Elena, Duchess of Lugo and the sister of King Felipe VI of Spain. Princess Amalia of the Netherlands, heir to the Dutch throne, was also at the event on Tuesday, as well as Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark.
Zara was likely to feel some nostalgia as she stepped out at the opening ceremony yesterday, having competed at the 2006 World Equestrian Games where she won individual eventing gold riding her horse Toytown.
This would have made attending this week’s opening ceremony very special, with Zara having been able to watch equestrian displays involving more than 250 horses at the event.
The ceremony also included live music and dance performances, as well as a parade with competing riders.

It finished with an impressive water show with dancing fountains in the stadium.
Zara was the only British royal spotted at the event on Tuesday and she is not believed to have been accompanied by her husband Mike Tindall.
Despite this, Zara appeared happy and confident, even smiling to the cameras as she arrived at the stadium.
It is not known how long she plans to stay in Germany or whether she will attend the rest of the championships
