Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were issued a huge warning after their meeting with King Charles and Queen Camilla. The Sussex couple held an under-the-radar audience with Their Majesties at their private residence in Gloucestershire, Highgrove House, during Prince Harry’s visit to the UK last week.
Harry’s long-anticipated reunion with his father last Friday took place in top secrecy, with only those involved, royals and aides, being made aware at the very last minute. It was the first time the King saw his American grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in four years. Now, a PR expert has cautioned the Sussex couple about their next steps following the top-secret meeting.

Renae Smith, founder of PR and branding agency The Atticism, told the Daily Express: “I think we’re all naturally curious. Family reconciliation is always a compelling story.
“But if I were advising Harry and Meghan about this, my advice would be incredibly simple: say absolutely nothing. Literally nothing. Don’t do interviews about it. Don’t hint about whether it was warm or awkward. Don’t reference private conversations on podcasts.

“Don’t even subtly allude to it. Let the King and Queen lead that narrative if they choose to, and realistically, they probably won’t (which is correct for them from a PR standpoint as well).”
She explained that if they were to share information about the meeting any type of goodwill from their side would “disappear”.

Ms Smith said: “The moment private family conversations become public content, any goodwill generated by that meeting disappears.
“Silence here would actually speak volumes. It would show restraint, maturity and perhaps a genuine desire to rebuild family relationships privately rather than publicly.”
Harry and Meghan, not their team, have said anything about the meeting, a new report by US outlet Vanity Fair cited “sources close to them,” which shared a glimpse of what had gone on behind the scenes.
The sources said the meeting lasted for about an hour and that everyone involved was sworn to secrecy.
They said: “They are keeping the meeting top secret. They haven’t said anything to anyone. The agreement was made before they met the king that nothing would be shared—no photos, no details. It was a top-secret arrangement and they pulled it off, and frankly, they are delighted about that.
