A 13-year-old boy is currently fighting for his life after being rushed to hospital in a serious condition following a horror π΄π΅π’π£π£πͺπ―π¨ in an English seaside town.
First responders raced to the scene in Eastbourne, East Sussex, amid reports of a serious assault near the waterfront.
Sussex Police confirmed they were called to the violent incident just after 5 pm on Sunday (September 20), rushing to the scene at Grand Parade near the junctions of Elms Avenue and Cavendish Place.
Once there, emergency crews found a seriously injured boy, aged 13, who had sustained injuries consistent with a π΄π΅π’π£π£πͺπ―π¨.
A group of young people were spotted leaving the scene, officers from Sussex Police said, with detectives working to locate the youths who were in the area and subsequently fled.
A spokesperson for Sussex Police added that “there will be an increased police presence in the area while enquiries are completed and to provide reassurance” to the local community.
βWitnesses or anyone with information, such as CCTV, mobile phone, or dashcam footage, is asked to come forward.
A statement by the force has since been issued, appealing for any witnesses to come forward, urging anyone with information to report it to “Sussex Police online or on 101, quoting serial 1096 of 20.09.β
