WNBA star Angel Reese has landed the cover of Vogue after her basketball rival Caitlin Clark made the front page of Time magazine.
The Chicago Sky power forward was announced on Wednesday as the cover star for Vogue Magazine’s Winter 2025 issue.

Reese joined Team USA Olympic spring, Gabby Thomas, as the pair separately graced the cover of the iconic fashion magazine.
Both covers read “When Sports Met Fashion” as Reese is pictured rocking a burgundy Versace dress while Thomas sported a black-and-white outfit.
The LSU Tigers product Reese’s appearance on Vogue comes after her college rival Caitlin Clark was honored by Time Magazine as their 2024 Athlete of the Year last month.
“It’s always been both: basketball and fashion,” Reese said in an interview with Vogue’s Maya Singer about her love for sports and fashion.

“I was always in my mom’s closet, putting on her stuff. I liked to carry a purse. Hair done. I wanted to look put together.”
Clark and Reese had their battles in college, including when the latter player helped the Tigers win the NCAA championship over the Indiana Fever in 2023.
Fast forward to the 2024 campaign, and the pair helped the WNBA have their most-watched regular season in 24 years, coupled with its highest attendance in 22 years.
Reese and Clark both earned All-Star nods, with the latter winning the 2024 Rookie of the Year award.

However, the two don’t see eye-to-eye off the court despite being the league’s most outstanding rookies.
“We’re not best friends, by any means,” Clark admitted in her TIME interview.

“But we’re very respectful of one another.
“Yes, we have had tremendous battles.
“But when have I ever guarded her? And when has she guarded me?”
Reese will start her second season with the Sky in May.
She will look to bounce back after suffering a season-ending wrist injury, and her team missed the playoffs.
But first, Reese will return to the court to participate in the inauguration season of Unrivaled.

It’s a 3-on-3 basketball league which will begin on January 17.
Clark will not play in the league.
