KIM Kardashian is opening up about the emotional toll of her divorce from Kanye West and revealed his changing personality played a role in the end of their marriage.

In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kim, 44, said she related to her sister Khloe’s experience with ex-husband Lamar Odom, who battled addiction during their marriage.

Khloe, 40, admitted that despite knowing she “got married way too quickly” to Omar, 45, she still believes he was the right person for her at the time

“That was the love of my life,” she said.

“And if it wasn’t for drugs, I know we would still be married ’til today.”

Her words struck a chord with Kim, who reflected on her own relationship with Kanye, 47, on the Hulu show.

She replied: “That’s the hardest part. I’ve been there.

“When you don’t foresee something happening that really changes a person’s personality and then they’re not the same person and you can’t ever get that person back, but you can’t live with the new person. I get it.”

In a candid confessional, Kim elaborated on the pain of her marriage ending.

Speaking directly to the camera, the superstar said: “It’s tougher when you don’t want your marriage to end off of personal reasons but circumstances change that force your marriage to end.

“When you weren’t planning on that and that’s not really the outcome you want but there’s no other option, I think it makes it harder to get over.”

Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in 2021 after six years of marriage, citing ongoing struggles as the rapper publicly battled bipolar disorder.

In a court filing obtained at the time, she expressed frustration over their co-parenting conflicts and his behaviour on social media.

“I very much desire to be divorced. I have asked Kanye to keep our divorce private, but he has not done so,” she stated.

“Kanye has been putting a lot of misinformation regarding our private family matters and co-parenting on social media, which has created emotional distress.”

Despite her hopes to repair the relationship, Kim ultimately acknowledged that reconciliation was impossible.

She added: “While I wish our marriage would have succeeded, I have come to the realisation that there is no way to repair our marriage.

“Kanye does not agree, but at least it appears that he has come to the realisation that I want to end our marriage, even if he does not.”

Since the divorce, Kim briefly dated comedian Pete Davidson for nine months and was recently linked to NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., though their relationship fizzled out in April 2024.

The reality star’s comments aired as Kanye makes headlines over his vile rants on social media.

Though Kim’s comments on The Kardashians – filmed months earlier – were not tied to his more recent controversies, including his antisemitic remarks.

KANYE CHANGES

Kanye has been branded a hypocrite for censoring Kim years before orchestrating his “naked” red-carpet stunt with Bianca Censori.

Kanye was called out for shaming then-wife Kim over her MET Gala look in 2019.

She wore a nude corset dress dripping in crystals, with the rapper saying the “tight” look gave him “anxiety”.

He also said he felt that a corset is lingerie, adding: “You are my wife, and it affects me when you are too sexy.”

Six years later and he styled Bianca in a naked dress that left jaws dropping around the globe.

He bragged about the “invisible dress”, a completely see-through mesh slip, on social media.

His wife, Bianca Censori, who has long supported him, has not commented on his recent antics.

Kanye is also now selling $20 T-shirts on his Yeezy site featuring a swastika logo, which has left many fans outraged and concerned by his hateful behavior.
