Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianne Buswell shared some sad news with her fans as she shared a heartbroken tribute on Instagram. Posting a picture of her brother Andrew’s wife Mel with her family, she shared the news that his mother-in-law had died. She penned: “Sending so much love to my sister-in-law,” as she shared a link to Mel’s post announcing the sad passing.
Mel shared a montage of pictures celebrating her mother’s life, as she wrote: “For the last two and a half years, Mama fought like a warrior. Yesterday, 14.11.25, she lost that battle — but she gained the peace she’s earned a hundred times over.
“You’re gone, and yet you linger in everything: in our breaths, in our memories, in the love you built around us. We are what’s left of you, the pieces of your heart that keep beating. Rest easy, beautiful soul. We love you so much.”
On the post, Dianne and her partner shared their condolences, as she posted: “Sending love sis. I’m so sorry,” adding a row of red love hearts.
Joe added: “Sorry to hear that Mel, sending love.” Other friends and family members also shared their condolences after the sad loss.
One person said: “Sending lots of love to you guys Mel I’m so sorry.” Another added: “Oh Mel, I’m so sorry to hear this. Sending so much love to you and your family.”
Dianne’s brother is also a professional dancer, with his Instagram biography describing his achievements as “Australian Open New Vogue champion, West Australian Ballroom and show dance champion, National 10 dance finalist ,WDSF finalist.”
He and Mel share two children together, a daughter and a son, who they regularly share on their Instagram pages.

Meanwhile, Dianne has been sharing updates on her pregnancy, as she is set to welcome her first child with partner Joe.
They are expecting a baby boy early next year, but Dianne isn’t letting her pregnancy slow her down, as she shared a compilation video of herself dancing while expecting.
She was inundated with messages of support from impressed fans, as one said: “Full of energy! Happy mum, happy baby, happy vibes all around!” Another responded: “You are the best!!! Always making me and everyone proud xxxx.”
