UNACCEPTABLE: Prince Harry’s bizarre excuse for banning media from attending London event

Prince Harry banned the media from attending his London event on Wednesday, much to the confusion of many. The Duke of Sussex, who arrived in Britain on Monday, stepped out on Wednesday at the Royal Hospital Chelsea – the home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners, who are all retired soldiers of the British Army.
While his other UK engagements have seen members of the press attend, this one did not. Instead, the duke held his visit – which came a day after he found out he lost his court case against the publishers of The Daily Mail – in private, barring the media from coming with him. This is despite the fact pool media coverage had already been organised.
With the plans being changed just a day prior, Harry’s team explained that the decision had been made due to the current UK heatwave.
His team said that a public-facing segment of the visit was removed from the agenda due to soaring temperatures and the limitations of the heritage site’s old buildings.
It is believed that the media will still be allowed to be present for the rest of the duke’s engagements in the UK.
Harry’s visit to Royal Hospital Chelsea was a solo visit, with his wife Meghan Markle originally expected to join him.

However, the plans changed after Harry found out he would not get taxpayer funded security in the UK.
This meant that his wife Meghan and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet did not fly to the UK with Harry on Monday.
The duke has previously said that he feels like the UK is too unsafe for his family to visit without armed police protection.
It has not been ruled out that Meghan and the children could fly to the UK at some point for part of Harry’s UK trip.
