The pop star just wrapped up his Eras Tour, while Kelce is currently finishing up his NFL season

With the Super Bowl over and the Eras Tour wrapped up, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are finally ready for some time off.

A source told PEOPLE that the celebrity couple is “breaking up” after the Kansas City Chiefs’ 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9 in New Orleans, “making everyone sad.”

“Their lives have been a whirlwind since they started dating,” the insider said. “Everything seems great between them and they are extremely happy together.”

Swift, 35, was a fixture at Chiefs games this past season, often bringing her friends and family to cheer from a suite at Arrowhead Stadium. The Super Bowl was no exception, as she brought brother Austin, dad Scott, and friends Ice Spice, Ashley Avignone, Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim to Caesars Superdome to cheer on Kelce, 35, as the Chiefs looked to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

“She really enjoyed watching Travis play,” the source added.

Kelce also enjoyed seeing Swift perform, having attended more than a dozen Eras Tour shows — and even joined his girlfriend on stage during a memorable performance in London.

The “Fortnight” singer wrapped up his record-breaking Eras Tour in December after nearly two years on the road and nearly 150 shows.

Following the Chiefs’ disappointing loss, Kelce’s brother Jason, who retired from the NFL last year after spending his entire career with the Eagles, opened up about the loss and its impact on his brother on X. “There is no one I love or care about more [than Travis],” he wrote. “It’s hard to process these emotions, of course I feel for him and support him, but I know he doesn’t need or want my pity. He has achieved greatness that few on this planet can dream of, as has his team, and they should be proud of their accomplishments this season and in the past.”

In an interview just a day before the big game, Kelce said he was “extremely happy” when asked what he wanted out of life.

“I think I found it all. I just, you know, keep it all. I absolutely love where I live,” he told Westwood One Sports. “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. I love coming to work and what I do for my career. And I have unbelievable support from my family and friends who are chasing me down here for another Super Bowl. I’m just a very fortunate individual and [I’m] trying to take advantage of all the good days that I have.”

Meanwhile, his father Ed Kelce said the star offensive lineman is “very happy” with Swift, sharing that they are both looking forward to spending time together out of the spotlight.

“I think we’ll get through the Super Bowl, I think it’ll be a really good time for both of them with the NFL off-season, with the Eras Tour,” he told Australia’s Today show. “Just them, really connecting more. And I think that can only be a good thing.”
