Big Brother is back with a crop of brand new housemates and plenty of ” twists and turns” to keep them on their toes, with ITV confirming its start date.
The OG of reality shows will be returning to screens for a brand new series this month and the mix of contestants is described as “eclectic”. But would we expect anything else?!
The Big Brother house has also been given a makeover, while producers have created a string of new “elaborate tasks”.

ITV has confirmed the start date for Big Brother 2025
In a statement, ITV says: “Big Brother: Live Launch will once again welcome an eclectic mix of strangers from across the UK who will all become housemates living under one roof.
“The nation’s most renowned residence, the Big Brother House, will yet again play host to all the mischief and mayhem and has undergone a makeover that’s easy on the eye.
“Viewers can expect more new twists and turns, elaborate tasks, intense nominations and live evictions as the cast of housemates go up against one another in a bid to be crowned the winner, and walk away with a life-changing cash prize.”
Big Brother 2025: Hosts
AJ Odudu and Will Best will present Big Brother again when it returns to screens. The duo have been at the show’s helm since its ITV reboot in 2023.
The pair will be on hand to welcome this year’s housemates onto the stage during the Big Brother Live Launch. They will then send them up the famous staircase and wave them off.
For the next few weeks, along with the rest of the nation, AJ and Will will wait patiently for each housemate to be evicted, before one is crowned the winner.
AJ and Will previously spilled the secrets on their backstage antics before a live episode of Big Brother. It’s fair to say their riders are quite tame compared to some celebrities!
“I have my little bottle of beer and a Coca-Cola – a lot of fizzy!” Will admitted. AJ added: “I’m too nervous to have a bev before a show! I have a bag of sweets and I’m hot to trot.”

Will Big Brother: Late & Live be back?
For the obsessive Big Brother viewerss among us, you’ll be pleased to hear that Big Brother: Late & Live will also be making a return in 2025. The spin-off will once again feature a live studio audience, packed with fans who are ready to give their opinion.
AJ and Will will take it in turns to host Big Brother: Late & Live and you can expect plenty of celebrity guests, too. They will make up the nightly panel, which is usually full of fiery debate!
Who won last year’s Big Brother?
Big Brother 2024 was won by Ali Bromley. The 38-year-old was working as a forensic scientist when she entered the Big Brother house.
Once crowned the winner, Ali told AJ and Will that she planned to spend her prize money on IVF. She had wanted to start a family with her girlfriend Cherelle. The pair have now split.
Ali has since retrained and is working as a psychologist. She has also spoken openly about her ADHD diagnosis to raise awareness.
What is Big Brother 2025’s start date?
The brand new series Big Brother will kick off on Sunday September 28, 2025. It will air on ITV2 and stream on ITVX from 9pm.
Big Brother 2025 will run for seven weeks. This will take fans up to mid-November. The exact finale date for the Big Brother Live Final is yet to be confirmed.
