BREAKING: Nadia Sawalha takes legal action against ITV claiming she was ‘bullied out’ of Loose Women
Nadia Sawalha has revealed she’s taking legal action against ITV after being taken off Loose Women. In a video shared on Instagram on August 6, the 61-year-old claimed she was temporarily removed from the show due to her support of Palestine.
Hitting back at the corporation, she urged fans to sign a petition in a bid to stop people “being bullied out of their job” for “speaking out against brutal oppression”.
She said: “My legal team at ELSC have today written to ITV alleging that I have been treated unlawfully due to my protected beliefs. Now before I say anything else, I just want to say how sad I am that it’s got to this.”

She went on to say: “So after I began speaking publicly in support of Palestine in December 2023, I became the target of an escalated campaign of smears, complaints, hostile media coverage and targeted calls to have me removed from Loose Women.
“And since then ITV have taken me on and off Loose Women a number of times,” she added.

“I’ve mostly been told that the reason for this was and I quote, ‘It’s all a bit noisy out there for us’.
She also claimed that around July 2026 “an open letter from a group of prominent pro Israel media figures apparently sent a 20-page document to ITV urging them not to reinstate me”.

“No one has yet paid me the courtesy of allowing me to see the letter or answer the accusations,” she added.
She went on to claim that ITV “have continued to take me on and off Loose Women forever changing the goals posts while also saying they couldn’t guarantee they wouldn’t take me on again as it would depend on what was said”.
“Even though I’m hired for being an opinionated woman on a discussion show and I’ve never brought up or spoken about Palestine directly on the show,” she further claimed.
Nadia said “this was the tip of the ice berg about what’s been happening”, but said that’s all she could say in a three-minute video on Instagram.

She went on to echo that she is taking legal action against ITV adding there is also a petition that she would love her followers to sign.
“I want to show that there are many more people with us than there are against us,” she added.
“I want to make it clear that it’s not just me that has been targeted like this for my beliefs, there are teachers, doctors, charities and supermarket workers and students, who have spoken according to their conscience and have suffered a similar fate as me,” she continued
She concluded: “Enough is enough, we need to send a clear message to ITV and other groups and corporations that we won’t be scared into silence and no one should be bullied out of their job for following their conscience and speaking out against brutal oppression. Thank you.”
