Prince William is reportedly keeping his distance from Prince Harry as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s return to Britain fuels another round of tension within the Royal Family.
Harry and Meghan Markle moved back to the UK with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after six years in the United States, a decision that immediately put renewed focus on Harry’s fractured relationship with his older brother.
According to a source quoted by Us Weekly, William had been less hopeful than King Charles that the Sussexes’ return could happen quietly and potentially create an opening for reconciliation.
“There was cautious optimism that perhaps they would arrive in silent dignity and not stir up drama,” the source claimed.
But William was reportedly more sceptical.
The insider suggested the Prince of Wales now feels his concerns have been justified following the controversy that has surrounded Harry and Meghan since their arrival.
William and Kate, the source argued, do not need to respond publicly to the latest developments.
Instead, they reportedly believe events will speak for themselves.
William ‘Has Not Spoken to Harry’
The most significant claim is that the brothers remain out of contact.
“William has not spoken to Harry,” the source alleged, suggesting there has been no meaningful breakthrough despite Harry now living much closer to the Royal Family.
