Britain’s Got Talent fans say ‘bring on the complaints’ as they fume over ‘horror act’

ITV audiences threatened to turn off the latest Britain’s Got Talent instalment.
Saturday’s (May 23) last semi-final of this year’s series featured eight performers competing for a place in the grand final. Amongst the contestants were stunt duo Baron and Vesper, who have attracted notice with their perilous aerial routines.
Their performance involves Baron using hooks pierced through his nipples to suspend his real-life partner Vesper in mid-air. Before the pair had even begun their semi-final routine, ITV watchers voiced concerns about enduring another performance from the act.
On X, previously known as Twitter, one person wrote: “Oh no, can’t watch this horror act again #BGT #BritainsGotTalent!”, reports the Daily Star.

Another questioned whether the provocative performance was suitable for family audiences. “This is not family entertainment, if they are saying ‘don’t try this at home’ it shouldn’t be shown #ogt #britainsgottalent,” they commented.
A third viewer remarked: “Alesha: “Well, that was difficult to watch!” You can say that again! #BGT #BritainsGotTalent.”
While a fourth added: “Bring on the complaints for this act #britainsgottalent.”
Nevertheless, some remained captivated by the performers’ abilities. “Baron and Vesper is spellbinding and sickening equally. What a remarkably unique act,” one audience member observed.
The unconventional pair also struggled to impress the judges with their closing performance. Judge Alesha Dixon admitted the act “didn’t do it” for her, while fellow judge Amanda Holden agreed, though she praised the duo for their boldness.

“It’s extraordinary. You’re fearless and you’re very courageous to do something like that,” Amanda said. “I applaud you, I applaud your bravery.”
KSI, meanwhile, described their final performance as “meh”. Baron and Vesper ultimately fell short of a place in the final, finishing seventh place after the public vote.
The Season 19 champion will be announced on Saturday, May 30, during a live broadcast on ITV1.
The grand finale’s synopsis promises: “Ant and Dec host a dazzling night of performances as Britain’s Got Talent reaches the spectacular live final where one act will be crowned this year’s winner. “
