EMMERDALE TROUBLE AHEAD: One beloved character may be about to lose everything as a new workplace scandal unfolds.
Emmerdale is set to air more disturbing scenes for Jacob Sugden as a callous revenge plot hits a new low.
As fans of the ITV soap will know, trainee doctor Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) is being bullied by Dr. Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) while working at Hotten General Hospital. She has moved into the village, where she continues to intimidate Jacob and belittle him in front of the locals.
Last week, Jacob bravely filed a complaint against Todd, but he soon dropped the case after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) encouraged him, as she was being blackmailed by Todd.
After giving birth to a baby girl, surrogate Charity needed emergency care and was saved by Todd, before the doctor confirmed she knew that Jacob was not the biological father of the newborn. She demanded that Charity get Jacob to withdraw his complaint, or she would tell Jacob the truth about Leyla’s paternity.

Next week, Todd’s behavior towards new dad Jacob goes from bad to worse when the pair bump into each other in the village, and she mocks him once more.
Todd then makes a beeline for Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and implies that Jacob is desperate to return to work despite their newborn baby, and she is not happy.
Sarah confronts Jacob, who wastes no time in finding Todd in the corridors of The Woolpack and gives her a stern warning to stay away from his wife.
Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) then walks into the ladies’ toilets and is taken aback by Jacob’s presence. The vet later confronts Jacob, and when Sarah demands to know what is going on, he breaks down and confesses all about Todd’s bullying.

Sarah stands by her man and demands that he speak to Carol in HR again about Todd’s conduct, and also berates Vanessa for believing her new housemate, Todd, over Jacob.
But Jacob’s ordeal worsens when Carol reveals that Todd has already filed a complaint against him and has provided substantial evidence, including voice recordings.
Feeling defeated, Jacob is ready to quit his job as his dreams of becoming a doctor are thrown into jeopardy, and he opens up to Sarah about Todd’s fabricated lies in his file.
In true Dingle/Sugden style, she tells him to fight back. This spurs Jacob on to pay Todd a visit at home, but how will their showdown end?
