‘He Hates It’ – William, Prince of Wales Unexpectedly Reveals to King Charles III What Left Viewers Surprised.

He even went as far as to say that his father, King Charles, “hates football” – which may suggest that the monarch has not been staying up late to watch the games. This may surprise some, as William is a strong football supporter, especially when it comes to Aston Villa. As well as watching matches on TV, William often takes to the stands to watch his favourite football club in Birmingham, sometimes taking his eldest son, Prince George, with him.

While a love of football did not come from his father, it did in fact come from William’s friends, who he would watch games with when he was younger.

Talking on the “New Heights” podcast with Travis Kelce and his brother, William revealed: “My father hates football.

“My family haven’t got a particularly long history with football, [though] there are a few of us who support teams. My love of football came from friends taking me to my first match.

“At school growing up, you can’t avoid the football chat. It’s everywhere, and some … some childhood friends of mine took me to my first game.”

While Charles may not be football mad, it is likely the monarch could have been watching some of the World Cup games.

This is because the tournament often gets everyone involved with its patriotic spirit.

Prince William has not flown to America to watch any of the World Cup matches so far.

It is not known if he will watch England play in the final if they win on Saturday against Norway.
