Actor Craig Charles has been supported after sharing a second bout of tragic news in just under a month. The Coronation Street and I’m A Celeb star took to Instagram to share that his father-in-law, Vincent, had died.
In a sweet tribute, sharing a snap of him with his arm around Vincent, the 61-year-old star emotionally penned: “My father in law Vincent who’s wife Anna passed away a month ago has gone to join her.” He added: “RIP Vincent. You were a mighty man.” Some of his recent IAC South Africa campmates were among the first to support him. Gemma Collins penned: “Sorry Craig,” followed by red loveheart emojis. Fans then also chimed in, with one writing: “So sorry for your loss Craig. Sending you all the love and support I can during this really tough period for you & the fam.”
Another added: “So sorry for your family’s loss Craig and to your wife Jackie.” As a third said: “That’s very tough for you all.. sending my deepest condolences.”
The tragic news follows the death of Craig’s mother-in-law, Anna, who died just four weeks ago in April.
At the time, just before the South Africa season kicked off, Craig shared “My mother in law Anna Fleming passed away at 8.43 Sunday night.
“One of the most significant women in my entire life. One of the kindest, wisest and intelligent people I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. RIP MUM.”
He spoke previously about how Dean had tried to contract him before he joined the ITV show.
Speaking to The Big Issue, Craig said: “If I could have one last conversation with anyone it would be my brother Dean. He tried to get hold of me just before I went into the jungle.
“We’d not spoken for a few years, there was a family falling out. And I just thought, ‘You know what, I’ll leave it, go and do the jungle thing and I’ll come out and we’ll all be together for Christmas.'”
