It’s been one year since the world lost the rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who was 76 at the time of his death. The Prince of Darkness endured a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease before he passed away from a cardiac arrest on 22 July, 2025. Ozzy amassed a substantial fortune before his death, and the majority of his wealth went to his wife, Sharon Osbourne, 73, and their children, Aimee, 42, Kelly, 41, and 40-year-old Jack.
At the time of his death, Celebrity Net Worth reported that Ozzy’s estimated net worth was at $220 million. A pioneer of heavy metal music, Ozzy enjoyed a hugely successful music career spanning more than half a century, with the bulk of his wealth coming from his work in the industry.

His band Black Sabbath was formed in 1968, with the group’s first three albums regarded as pioneering works in the development of heavy metal.
After being kicked out of the band in 1979, he embarked on a successful solo career, releasing 13 studio albums.
He also staged a number of memorable concerts, with Ozzfest, his legendary heavy metal and hard rock festival founded in 1996, attracting five million attendees and generating more than $100 million in revenue.
The festival’s overwhelming success meant he became the first hard rock and heavy metal star to reach $50 million in merchandise sales.
His wealth was further boosted through his television ventures, his most notable project being The Osbournes. The reality show aired on MTV from 2002 to 2005 and offered fans a glimpse into his personal and family life with Sharon and their children.
He also starred in Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour from 2016 to 2018, following the father-son duo as they travelled to sites of historical importance across America.
Beyond music and television, the late star penned his memoir, I Am Ozzy, released in 2009, and appeared in numerous advertisements such as I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!, a Workday Super Bowl commercial and Liquid Death.
He was also a brand ambassador and part-owner of the online gaming platform Metal Casino.
Ozzy and Sharon also built up a substantial property portfolio, with the couple owning a sprawling mansion in Buckinghamshire as well as several homes across the US, including in Los Angeles.
