Jack Osbourne shares emotional wish as he gets ready to honour anniversary of dad Ozzy’s death

Jack Osbourne is getting ready to mark a year since the death of his dad, Ozzy Osbourne. And the reality TV star has admitted he doesn’t quite know how he will feel.
However, he has asked fans to help him share the moment and told them of his wish for the poignant day. Jack, 40, took to Instagram to put his thoughts into a video. He admitted his dad wouldn’t want people crying over him and instead requested that his followers shared their favourite memories of the Prince of Darkness to create a happy “Ozzy Day” environment.
Jack said: “This month has been really just ups and downs for me, a mixed, mixed bag of emotions. A lot of people have asked me, you know, what my plan is for the 22nd [the anniversary of Ozzy’s death]. Am I gonna do anything?

“And I don’t know. This is the first time for me. This is the first one year.”
He admitted he had been pondering what the best actions would be to mark the occasion. And he revealed his wish. “Here’s what I want,” he continued.
“I would like anyone who’s listening to this, anyone who feels compelled. Anyone who just wants to share a story about my dad to share a story, whether it’s the first time you listened to his music, the first time you saw him play live, or a time you saw him play live that was, you know, something stood out to you, or had an actual encounter with him, or whether you just want to talk about what his music meant to you.
“That’s what I want. I want to fill the entire day of July 22 with just awesome Ozzy stories. So yeah, that’s my ask.”
He told his followers to “get thinking, get posting, spread the love”. And he admitted he believes that’s exactly the way his dad would want the day to be marked.
Jack went on: “He would not want us to all be sat around shedding tears because that’s not his vibe. He did not like people crying in front of him.”
Followers already took to the comments section of the post to send in their own personal stories. American singer Carnie Wilson wrote: “My fav thing about your Dad was that he demanded kisses on his lips. Every. Single. Time. Sweetest thing ever. I know you miss him. Our Dads passed one month apart. Unreal. Love you.”
The Black Sabbath legend died on July 22, aged 76, surrounded by his wife, Sharon, and children. He had been battling ill health, which he had spoken publicly about.
His cause of death was revealed a month after his passing. It was confirmed the music icon died following an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, acute myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (joint causes).
