The Royals Uncensored host Katie Nicholl opened up the new talk show to discuss Meghan Markle’s speech on child internet safety with a fresh panel. The host directed a question at Tom Sykes who was in Geneva and had a front-row seat to watch it. Tom stated that as far as he was aware, he was the only foreign journalist who had travelled to get a personal look at the delivery.
That in itself, was something he described as a “comedown” for Meghan considering her previous stance in the Royal Family. He questioned why she was there and noted that it looked “weird and small”. However, he noted that one major error made by Markle was the fact that her whole speech on the dangers of social media was “completely undermined”, because the day before the speech she posted a photo of her daughter Lilibet on social media.

He said: “The whole thing is so crazy, the operation is so chaotic. I’m told that they don’t ask advice and when they do ask advice they just don’t listen. There’s nothing anyone can say.”
Host Katie then chimed in to say that through her contacts she knows that professionals had tried to give Harry and Meghan some good advice when it came to starting their lives in the US, but noted that the pair would just “do their own thing”.
Katie continued: “I loved what she said in that speech, you were there and it was to a largely empty audience, but as a parent I agree with what she was saying, I think it is important, it’s an important narrative of what we have and explore.”
However, she still recognised the issue of posting a photo of her daughter just before and questioned if the decision was “completely tone deaf”. She added: “Does she not anticipate that by doing that and then going and speaking on child dangers online that she runs the risk of being called a hypocrite which is exactly what’s happened?”

Viewers in the comments were divided as one user wrote: “Why complain that she’s talking about a serious issue?” While another said: “Just goes to show how low she ranks this serious matter on her sincerely concerned about list.” However, another wrote: “You know there’s nothing to do with a mother posting a photo of the back of her child online.”
