Mel B left guests blubbing after giving an emotional speech at her close friend Mel C’s incredible wedding this weekend.
Mel C married her partner Chris Dingwall in a stunning Lake District ceremony as they said ‘I do’ in front of friends and family at The Country House in Castle Carrock, Cumbria. Her former bandmates Mel, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton were in attendance for their big day.
But sadly the Spice set was not quite complete with Victoria Beckham unable to be there as she was at the World Cup in the United States with her husband David. However, she did designed Mel’s dress as a gift even though she was unable to attend to see her pal get hitched.

Mel C has revealed all about her special day in a chat with Vogue magazine. In a sentimental move, a special Australian touch in honour of her new husband was incorporating into her bridal dress, the sleek ivory gown had the words ‘Sydney’ and ‘7.6.2026’ embroidered onto it as she thanked Posh for the stunning outfit.
Victoria wasn’t the only Spice Girl to step up as Mel B also had something special for her friend and her heartfelt words left some at the venue fighting back the tears before the evening entertainment got underway, going on until the early hours of the morning.
After stunning ceremony, Mel B took the mic and a source said: “Mel and Chris’ wedding was perfect, they couldn’t be happier. They chose a classy, laid-back ceremony before a reception with their closest friends and family.
“Mel B gave a speech which got a lot of laughs, as well as some tears — it was really beautiful. Geri was there but there was no awkwardness between her and Mel B,” the insider told The Sun. “It was a day for celebrating Mel and Chris’s love for each other and that was all anyone wanted to do.”

Sporty met the model and producer on celebrity dating app Raya back in 2023. She told British Vogue the spark was “immediate,” and that the wedding was “low-key, relaxed, romantic and chic.” She added: “I’m so excited for the world to know he’s my husband.”
And Mel said of her wedding dress: “Victoria wanted to make it much more personal to me. I’m not really a girly girl andVictoria’s clothes are really feminine in a way that feels comfortable and very me.”
Despite Mel B’s lovely words, Mel C was unable to make her wedding last summer. Scary Spice married hairdresser Rory McPhee, 38, at St. Paul’s Cathedral last year.
Only one of the Spice Girls was in attendance. Emma Bunton, who channelled her Baby Spice days in a pink long-sleeved mini dress, was a guest along with her partner Jade Jones and son Beau.
Sharing a photo of Mel B and her new husband, she wrote: “So so happy for you both and beyond gutted I couldn’t be there. Excited to celebrate with you really soon! Yippee!.”
Mel C’s wedding comes after the singer famously vowed for years that she would never get hitched.
Earlier this year, Mel hinted that she would consider marrying Chris after years of deciding it wasn’t for her. She said: “You know what? It’s something I didn’t think would be part of my story. But I’m so happy with Chris. Maybe it is something that will be in my life. I just think, just do all the things. Do you know what I mean? Have all the experiences.”
Speaking about how they met, she added: “Nobody knows this but we actually met on Raya … Yeah, it can work people! I don’t know how much I should divulge. I was in a relationship previously and you know sometimes you get to the end of a relationship and first of all, you’re like: ‘I never want to meet anyone ever again and that’s it.
