Rumours of a reconciliation between Prince Harry and the royal family have been floating since senior aides to both the Duke of Suss3x and King Charles were spotted at a meeting in London.
Since then, many have speculated what event could reunite Harry with his family, with some highlighting the upcoming WellChild Awards, which will see Prince Harry travel to the UK on the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s d3ath.
Others have wondered whether the anniversary of Princess Diana ’s d3ath may ignite some conversation between Harry and William, but according to Jennie Bond, there is one potential project on the table that could put a halt to any royal reconciliation between the warring brothers.

In light of Harry and Meghan’s new deal with Netflix, many have started to speculate that Prince Harry could be looking to commission a tell-all documentary about his late mother, with the release of the potential project to be released in 2027, 30 years after Princess Diana’s untimely d3ath.
However, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror that such a project would only put a further strain on the already tested relationship between Harry and William.

She said: I’m sure Netflix are hoping that Harry will come up with an idea for a new Royal documentary, and the 30th anniversary of Diana‘s d3ath would be an obvious choice.
“Harry and William cooperated with two very well received films marking the 20th anniversary of their mother’s d3ath. Afterwards, William said the films were the final word on Diana, as he said ‘We won’t be doing this again, we won’t speak as openly or publicly about her again’.”

Jennie explained that if Harry were to commission such a documentary, it would send major shockwaves through the royal family, similar to those felt after the release of Harry & Meghan: the Suss3xes explosive tell-all series released on Netflix in 2022.
“How sad it would be if Harry decided to go it alone on another film about her,” Bond said. “He shared that agonising loss with his brother. They were in shock together, they grieved together, they walked side by side behind her coffin. A solo film by Harry would simply underline the bitter feud with his brother and would antagonise the rest of the family.”

Despite the influx of rumours over the potential documentary, which has not been confirmed by Netflix or Prince Harry, Jennie Bond believes the project will never be realised, given Harry’s recent indications of wanting to reunite with his family.
She said: “I suspect these reports are just rumours and wishful thinking by Netflix. I doubt whether Harry would really want to commercialise his mother‘s life and d3ath.”
Jennie went on to say that despite how the princes will each be grieving the d3ath of their mother on the anniversary of her passing, she believes that with the state of their relationship, it’s unlikely they will communicate.
“August 31 will forever be a day of intense sadness for William and Harry,” she said. “You might imagine that, after all their shared pain at losing her, they would want to talk to one another about their feelings on such an important date. No one else in the world knows what it was like to be the son of an iconic princess who died so tragically on that day.
“Sadly, however, I think their rift has become too deep and their lives so separated that they’ve become used to marking their mother’s d3ath in their own, private way. I don’t think they will be sharing their thoughts or their feelings with each other. I don’t think there will be any phone calls or texts, even on such a sad day.”
