Princess Kate’s rarely seen family member who could be her secret support one day

Once Prince William becomes King, the Princess of Wales will automatically become Queen.

The Princess of Wales’s sister-in-law Alizee Thevenet could become a major support in her life once she takes on the role of Queen. Alizee has been married to James Middleton since 2021 – and is the mother of Kate’s nephew, Inigo.

Alizee, 36, stepped out alongside the royals last week at this year’s Royal Ascot – and showed off how close she is to the Middleton family. At the glitzy annual event, Alizee with pictured alongside her mother-in-law, Carole Middleton.

Speaking to HELLO!, Dr. Arthur Cassidy – who is a royal commentator and celebrity psychologist, as well as a member of the British Psychological Society – who offered an insight into the profound bond between the two women.

He said: “As psychologists, we know that first impressions play a highly significant special role in bonding to each other, in particular a mother and her daughter-in-law.”

Speaking of the prospect of a son welcoming a potential life-long partner, as James did with Alizee, the relationship with the future in-laws is “based largely on first impressions”.

He then noted: “These first impressions are always uppermost in Carole’s self-presentation at various royal and other family events.

“She is always elegant and chic with a hint of mild sophistication, and the first impression made is a significant influence on how she interacts with Alizee, shaping the foundation of future high-profile and family gatherings.”

Speaking further, he added: “An expression of positivity and optimism about how she and also Michael, besides Catherine, Pippa and James, will help facilitate Alizee into a new era of family cohesion and happiness…

“…Potentially she can learn the rudiments of negotiating her pathway into the Middleton family and hopefully becoming a source of strength, hope and optimism to our future Queen Princess Kate.”

The Prince of Wales is next in line to the royal throne, meaning that Kate will be the next Queen after Camilla.
