Beverley Turner was left holding back the tears after her co-stars sent her emotional goodbye messages on GB News. The presenter, 51, is relocating to America alongside fellow GB News host Ben Leo to front The Late Show Live, a nightly flagship programme broadcast live from Washington DC. Beverley fronted her final show with Andrew Pierce on Wednesday (August 27), ahead of her move to the US in September. To commemorate her last day in the studio, the stars of GB News sent her off with warm and heartfelt farewell messages.

Eamonn Holmes kicked things off, telling Bev: “This is your time. America is your place. You are going to shine.” His co-host Ellie Costello was quick to agree, declaring that she will “smash it” in the US. Despite being sad over her departure, Alex Armstrong expressed excitement over watching Bev “conquer” America. Anne Diamond congratulated Bev on the upcoming adventure, while Stephen Dixon added: “You’re going to bring Washington down like a storm. It’s going to be amazing. I can’t wait to see the show.”

Husband and wife Patrick Christys and Emily Carver echoed that Bev would “smash it”, alongside Dawn Neesom and Olivia Utley who expressed how much they would miss their co-star.

Ben gushed that it’s a “privilege” for him to be joining Bev in the US. Rounding of the tributes was Andrew, who reflected on his time working with Bev.

He declared: “It’s been a ball Bev, nobody can say it’s been dull, eventful, unpredictable, erratic. We’ve not always seen eye to eye but it has been a great experience for me and my loss is America’s gain.”

After watching the videos, Bev admitted: “That was quite emotional, I got quite tearful there.”

She went on to clarify: “I’m not leaving GB News, let’s be clear. I am going to be hosting a show Monday to Thursday. You’re going to be seeing me all over every show. I’ll be popping up everywhere.”

Bev compared the authenticity of GB News with other broadcasters, claiming some presenters can be “fake” when delivering goodbye messages to their co-stars.

She added: “I love this place. I love our GB News family. When you go to other channels and people are talking about each other like that on the telly, it’s never real. It’s fake. It is not fake here. I genuinely love all those people that have done those messages and I’m so happy to work at such an amazing place.”

Following the launch of The Late Show Live, there have been a number of shake-ups at GB News. From early September, Miriam Cates will join Andrew on Britain’s Newsroom from Monday to Thursday, with Alex stepping in as co-host on Fridays.

Nana Akua will co-present Good Afternoon Britain alongside Tom Harwood as Emily prepares for maternity leave. Nana and Tom will present on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with Dawn fronting the programme alongside Tom on Thursdays and Fridays.
