EXCLUSIVE REVEAL: Narinder Kaur Explains Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘NOT WELCOME’ Back in UK
Broadcaster Narinder Kaur said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle should not return to the UK because of how they have been treated in the past. The Good Morning Britain star, 52, appeared on Jeremy Vine on Monday and discussed whether she would welcome Harry and Meghan back to the UK, five years after they stepped down from royal duties and moved to California. A new YouGov poll showed that just 24% believe it’s a good idea for Harry to return, while just 12% supported Meghan returning.
The majority of voters also said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should not go back to royal duties. Asked about her view on the matter, Narinder said: “I think the royal family really depends on Meghan and Harry because they’re so relevant. They appeal to the younger generation and work extremely hard. They show an inclusive and progressive royal family. Do I think they should come back? Absolutely not. As much as I’d love William and Harry to make up. I hate when there’s family rows and dramas. I do think they need to make up but I don’t think this country is a safe place for Meghan and Harry.”
Narinder raged: “The racism that Meghan receives is despicable and I think Harry is quite right to keep his family and his family safe from the despicable hate. It is unacceptable.”
Fellow panellist Claudia Hearne firmly disagreed, claiming the future of the royal family depends on Harry and Meghan “staying away”.
The star continued: “They’re toxic. I’m really pleased that the UK has such good sense to give them such low opinion polls. They torched the bridge on the way out and did a six-part Netflix documentary on it.”
Jeremy added that the couple accused the royal family of racism – something Narinder believes they should have been able to speak about freely.
“No, because they accused them of racism and neglect on the public stage, knowing that the royals have absolutely no right of reply,” Claudia snapped back.
Narinder interjected, claiming the royals do have a right to reply because they “feed their stories into the press”, adding: “They throw Harry and Meghan under the bus all the time.”
Claudia concluded: “I think ginge and whinge have made their bed and they need to lie in it.”
