Ivanka Trump wore a stunning white Givenchy gown to the Liberty Inaugural Ball as she celebrated her father Donald Trump’s return to the White House

Ivanka Trump made a grand entrance at the Liberty Inaugural Ball, celebrating her father, President Donald Trump’s inauguration. She was stunning in a Givenchy strapless white gown with black detailing and a long train.
Her hair was styled in a chic French twist, and she accessorized with long black gloves and heels. Many noted that her dress seemed to be a nod to Audrey Hepburn’s iconic 1954 Haute Couture black-and-white gown designed by Hubert de Givenchy for the film Sabrina.
As America watched, Ivanka danced with her husband, Jared Kushner, their eyes locked in a romantic gaze while the rest of the First family also took to the stage. Earlier in the day, Ivanka attended mass at St. John’s Church, dressed in a dark green ensemble complete with a matching hat.

Her outfit included an asymmetrical jacket and a mid-length skirt, paired with black stockings and heels. A Dior bag completed her look.
This came after she wore a custom Oscar de la Renta dress for a pre-inauguration event the previous day, reports the Irish Star.
The internet was abuzz with reactions to her outfit, with some drawing parallels to the costumes in the TV series based on Margaret Atwood’s novel, The Handmaid’s Tale. In this series, a specific group of wealthy women are depicted wearing dark green cloaks and dresses.
Atwood’s story is set in Gilead, a dystopian society where women are stripped of their rights due to declining birth rates, leading to fertile women being coerced into childbirth. Some commentators drew a bleak link between the book’s theme and the day’s events.

President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, made a grand entrance at the Commander-in-Chief ball after a delayed start to the evening. This was the first of three inaugural balls they planned to attend.
The couple began the ball’s first dance on stage in front of a large audience. However, Melania appeared uncomfortable during the brief dance with her husband.
Despite the initial awkwardness, Trump appears unconcerned and even cheerful as they continue dancing. However, his forward-leaning posture places the burden of balance on Melania, creating the impression that she is subtly supporting his weight.
