During a lively segment on ‘Good Morning America’, Michael Strahan shocked viewers when he dramatically tossed aside a gift handed to him live on air.
The gift—a custom Philadelphia Eagles jersey—was presented to him in good spirits by members associated with the Super Bowl 59 champions, as part of a promotional effort for the Eagles Autism Foundation. While the gesture was clearly made in jest, Strahan, a proud former New York Giants player, playfully rejected the jersey in front of the cameras, triggering laughter and surprise among the audience. The light-hearted moment quickly became a viral clip, highlighting both the ongoing NFL rivalries and the shared support for important causes like autism awareness.

Weatherman Sam Champion handed the former All-Pro pass rusher the shirt during the segment, which was gone viral.
Champion said: “Michael, Robin identified this for me so I’m not going to do the whole thing.
“I’m just going to show you the front, I’m not going to show you the back. I’m not going to do it, I’m not going to do it.”
Strahan took the jersey from Champion but turned it around so it just showed his name on the back and not the Eagles badge.
And the New York Giants legend then proceeded to issue a cheeky message to the Eagles nation.
Seconds before throwing the top at the camera, Strahan said: “All I can say is, you wish.”
The social team at ‘Good Morning America’ capitalised on the hilarious moment by clipping it and posting it to Instagram.
Their accompanying caption read: “Our friends at the @philadelphiaeagles are coming to Times Square tomorrow and they wanted to give @michaelstrahan a present for the occasion!
