SH0CKING REVELATION: Isabel Webster REVEALS the HEARTBREAKING TRUTH About Former GB News Co-Host Eamonn Holmes’s Health ISSUES
Isabel Webster has revealed the truth behind her former GB News co-star Eamonn Holmes‘s health woes – blaming a habit that she says is ‘really tough on the body.’
The presenter, 42, lifted the lid on working alongside Eamonn during an appearance on Channel 5‘s Vanessa, where she discussed her career shift and why she was relieved to no longer be waking up in the middle of the night for her job.
Eamonn, 65, has been plagued by health battles in recent years after undergoing surgery on his back in 2022, which left him reliant on a walking frame or wheelchair.
At the time, he shared a photo from his bed and admitted: ‘Life’s not easy these days.’
Earlier this year he told fans his problems were ongoing, writing on Instagram: ‘Even when the sun shines there’s pain. Sometimes I feel I’ll never beat this disc immobility but I’m determined to have a life…’
His health issues stretch back much further. In 2016, Eamonn underwent a double hip replacement after years of living with acute pain.

Two years later he was struck down with shingles, which nearly derailed his son Declan’s wedding day.
By 2021, severe back pain seemingly came out of nowhere, leaving him dependent on a walking stick before doctors discovered he was suffering from three slipped discs affecting his right leg.
Reflecting on their time together at GB News, Vanessa Feltz asked Isabel: ‘And did you have fun working with Eamonn Holmes, would you call that, is that a way of describing it, fun, or was it quite tough?’
Isabel replied warmly: ‘Eamonn Holmes is a very funny man, actually, got a very Irish sense of humour, but he is literally an example of what happens when you get up at three in the morning for your entire TV career.’
Her comment drew laughter from Vanessa and the panel, though Isabel quickly clarified her meaning. ‘Well he says it himself!
‘No, no, no – he would say it himself. It’s extremely tough on the body and, as we all know, he’s got a few problems at the moment.’
The revelation follows reports of tensions between Isabel and Eamonn before she left GB News, though the presenter emphasised her colleague’s humour and professionalism.
Eamonn, who is married to Loose Women star Ruth Langsford, is considered one of the most familiar faces on British television, with a broadcasting career spanning more than four decades.

His health struggles, however, have frequently made headlines in recent years, and he has spoken candidly about the impact they have had on both his career and day-to-day life.
Isabel’s comments struck a chord with many in the studio audience, highlighting just how gruelling early starts can be for breakfast television hosts.
Yet despite Eamonn’s health troubles, the veteran broadcaster has vowed to keep working.
And just days ago, he left Kerry Katona speechless as he made a reference to an ‘Oriental’ look to her appearance, before issuing a very bitter apology live on GB News.
The former Atomic Kitten star, 44, appeared on the morning talk show for a plastic surgery debate.
But as she showed off the results of a facelift one year on, Kerry was left completely shocked as Eamonn described her look as ‘Oriental’.
‘Are you happy with the eyes?’ Eamonn asked, before Kerry said: ‘I had them done over a year ago now. You know all it was I could… it was making my eyes feel a bit heavy so I had an uplift. But what I don’t like is when…’

Eamonn then cut her off to add ‘And you don’t look Oriental or anything do you?’ leaving Kerry speechless as she stumbled over her words.
The Irish presenter was later forced to apologise by show bosses live on air, but clearly unhappy with having to do so said: ‘Apparently you’re not allowed to describe someone as looking oriental or… I don’t know how I would end up describing Kerry Katona if her eyes change shape.
‘I don’t know how I’m going to say does she look like someone from some other country in the eastern of the world… The world is ridiculous.
‘How you have to apologise for people… if she painted herself or… I don’t know I can’t get into this. But anyway.’
