Rusty is the youngest of Dylan’s three sons with husband Brian Fichera. They are also parents to Calvin, 8, and Oliver, 5.

Calvin and Oliver also had their tonsils removed at age 3.

Tonsillectomies, or surgeries to remove the tonsils, are among the most common operations performed on children, according to Harvard Health. A tonsillectomy might be needed if tonsils grow too large and affect breathing, or if there are recurrent infections.

In August 2023, Dylan shared a cute Instagram photo of Oliver smiling in a hospital room, sporting hospital jammies with the similar tiger print.

In 2020, Dylan shared that her eldest son, Calvin, had his tonsils removed that July, sharing an Instagram photo of Calvin wearing the same tiger PJs and yellow socks while sitting on a hospital bed.

The mom of three revealed that Oliver, who was 6 months old at the time, had also undergone a routine procedure that day.

“Back-to-back routine, but necessary, surgeries for my boys!” she wrote in the caption. “They’re home and on the mend and I’m sure glad these past few days are over.”

Last summer, Dylan also revealed that Rusty had gotten stitches after a minor injury. She shared a photo of the then-2-year-old with some small scrapes above his eyebrow and said this was the “first set of stitches” for their family.

“Never would have bet on Rusty to be the first!” she wrote in the caption.
